Trust God, Love People

If you are feeling like your addict is untrustable, know that there is one you can trust. Your Higher Power loves you more than you can imagine and is One you can trust to get you through whatever life is bringing your way.

You can trust your addict to be him or herself. If your loved one is actively using, you can trust them to continue to do so and you can trust them to do all of the deceiving that goes along with that using.

If your loved one is diligently working a recovery program, you can trust they will practice, practice, fall, fall, much like you do in your program of recovery.

People aren't perfect. So, let go of expectations, take out a huge dose of acceptance, and keep the focus on yourself!

Remember, your only obligation to another adult in your life is to be a loving person! To find out what that entails, sign up for my newsletter through my facebook page by going to facebook and doing a search for The Empowerment Coach. Click on the Four Foundations link and sign up for my newsletter. OR send me an email at recoverycoachbev@theempowermentcoach.net . I offer courses and coaching to help the family members of addicts find their way to peace and sanity and would love to share my materials with you!
Send me an email and ask for my Trust God and Love People PDF. It's short, sweet and to the point. You can put it on your fridge as a reminder of who to trust and who to accept and love.

All the best,
